The last couple of days have been very interesting. On Thursday we had a major wind storm in Utah. It hit hardest here in Davis County and we managed to have one of our 30 foot pine trees blown over onto our house just leaning on it thankfully and we suffered no damage.
I missed work that day for obvious reasons and we were without power for pretty much the whole day. The power went off in the morning around eight o’clock and was not restored until after 10:00 PM—long after we had gone to bed. It was quite an adventure.
We had a fun day we went to Salt Lake where people had power so that we could get lunch and stopped at the Church History Museum and came home and snuggled down for bed.
Friday was pretty normal. I got back to work—normal stuff. I had a short day at work and then today Laura went down to her mom’s house to do some sewing on Christmas quilts for the kids (which we had planned before) and I spent the day with six of the kids while she took Ezra. Andy came up to help get the tree off the house and chopped up. We took the top portion for our Christmas tree and put the rest of it on the sidewalk in front of our house where the city will pick it up whenever they get to it.
