Psalm 119: aleph – mem (1 – 104)
I had to do a bit of research online about this psalm. It is very structured and apparently even more artistic when rendered in Hebrew. It seems to me that the author of this psalm spent much time creating this as a work of art and a labor of love to declare his testimony. It is a testimony not only of the Lord but of His written word that has been passed from generation to generation unto this psalmist.
David often talked of what the proud or the wicked were doing to him as does this psalmist. David repeatedly asked God to revenge him by destroying them. This psalmist only promises to holdfast to the teachings of the Lord and asks for help.
