Psalms 147 – 150
Psalm 148 instantly made me think of the hymn Praise to the Lord. The words are not the same but the feeling certainly is. The hymn itself references psalm 150 which shares the same feeling as well. The only way I see psalm 150 being more directly applicable to that hymn is in the fact that verse 6 includes the phrase “let everything that hath breath praise the Lord” which is clearly the inspiration for the phrase in the hymn “All that hath breath, join with Abraham’s seed to adore Him!”
The truth is that this is the pervading and uplifting feeling from all the last five psalms and even to a great degree psalm 145.
