We certainly live in a day where we dream of eating only to find ourselves famished when we awaken. The sealed book that contains a revelation from the beginning to the end of the world is the sealed portion of the gold plates. I’ll bet that the declaration by two learned professors declaring the accuracy of the translation helped boot the testimony and confidence of Joseph regarding his ability to understand the spirit in matters of translation—even if one of those learned men retracted his declaration when he learned the origin of the plates.
