It’s funny to think that at the time this is happening among the people of king Benjamin, Alma and those who followed him away from Noah have already had their conversion and been living in harmony and isolation for some time. I say this because they lived for years on their own before being brought into captivity by the Lamanites and this is happening perhaps four years before they escape that bondage and join the people in the land of Zerahemla.
