Benjamin had the names recorded of all who took the name of Christ upon themselves. This does not say they were baptized but when Ammon finds the people of Limhi he obviously knows about the baptismal covenant when they ask about it. Ammon must have recognized while listening to Limhi that while their people had been wicked their doctrine was again sound and they were in a state of repentance.
