Alma 42
There is no final judgement in mortality. No person, no matter how depraved, is beyond the reach of change for the better and no person, no matter how righteous, is beyond the reach of change for the worse. Probation is, be definition, a time when judgement is partially suspended. If a final and complete judgement is rendered it is accompanied by a change from mortality to immortality (whether through death or some other means. That is not to say that some have not achieved a state prior to the end of their mortality where a judgement could be safely rendered but it does mean that so long as they are mortal they have the opportunity to change for good or ill.
