Helaman 1
Why is it that the sons of Pahoran would contend against each other for the judgement seat and more importantly, why would a son of Pahoran seek to rebel when the people did not choose him?
Paanchi did not care about the things his father had fought for while he was alive. Paanchi only cared about power. It is ironic that he would be sentenced to death based on a law that was passed specifically to secure his father because of the dissensions of the king-men which had temporarily forced Pahoran to abandon Zerahemla. Because of his pride Paanchi started the cycle that would end the reign of judges and the history of the Nephites as a unified nation.
