Increasing My “T”

The task today was to increase my testosterone levels (the post shortened it to T after the first mention or two) and it was interesting to learn how that could be done. Eating animal protein and good fats were two ways as well as vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower. Resistance training like lifting weights also had that effect as well as getting 8 hours of sleep and meditating. Soy and smoking reduce the levels of testosterone. The task was do three things to increase the levels (not smoking counted as one for smokers). I managed to do the meditating, animal protein, and morning sex for my three although I had hoped to do the 8 hours of sleep.

Increasing my T could also have referred to increasing my teaching today. I taught about obedience as the fist law of heaven in Sunday School and then about the why of priesthood service in Elder’s Quorum followed by a lesson on sustaining our leaders for home teaching. I then taught all three concepts together to the kids before bed.

It was very interesting to me to realize that people cannot effectively fulfill their roles unless they are sustained by those they are supposed to be serving in those roles. That understanding illuminated a lot of past and present experiences.
