Moroni indicates that whoever got the plates of Ether would have power to read his full account. We’re those plates available to Joseph Smith? If so, did he learn anything about the time from Adam to the tower from them?
We always speak of the. Either of Jared praying and the fact that Jared asked him to pray for those things but I have always heard it discussed as if Jared did not pray himself. I think it most likely that Jared was already praying for those things when he asked his brother to join him. We have a record of the answers that the brother of Jared received but Jared might also have been receiving those answers or it may be that his brother had some ecclesiastical or patriarchal standing that he did not have.
