Ecclesiastes 1 – 2
I knew that proverbs was from Solomon and of course the Song of Solomon was from Solomon, but I had not realized that the book of Ecclesiastes was also from Solomon.
Solomon does not sound happy or content here. He soy D’s restless and dissatisfied. Perhaps that is why he turned to having so many wives and concubines and allowing the worship of idols in his house. It is as if, for all his wisdom, he was unable to comprehend having done anything of lasting significance.
