Ecclesiastes 6 – 7
I am starting to wonder why history thinks so well of Solomon—unless all the historians look at is the fact that he was a very wealthy king reputed for his wisdom and the peace in his time. Getting a window into the man himself seems to yield hollowness and a depressed spirit. He does say some wise things but the overall narrative of his words is decidedly gloomy.
