Jeremiah 1 – 2
As I recall, Isaiah came about 100 years before Lehi and Jeremiah was in the days of Lehi. What happened in Israel between those two prophets?
Jeremiah was warned as his ministry began that the people would fight against him and his words. Ht that the Lord would protect him in his work.
What a condemnation—the Lord reminds the people of Israel that nations which worship idols are more constant to those idolsthan they have been to the True and Living God. When they get into trouble they lay blame at His feet, asking why He did not save them but whenever He protects them they forsake Him.
The Lord also condemns the people because they do not even hide their iniquity.
