Jeremiah 24 – 25
I did not realize that amidst all the wickedness of Jeremiah’s day Jeremiah prophesied that there were some choice people who would be carried away to the land of the Chaldeans and preserved there who would then be brought back to the land of Israel and have the covenant reside with them after those who remained had been destroyed. Certainly Daniel would be among those who proved the fulfillment of that prophecy.
Jeremiah also prophesied that the captivity in Babylon would last seventy years.
I wonder what other nations thought when they heard that Jeremiah prophesied against them as well.
