Daniel 11
It sounds like Daniel is describing three wicked leaders: one over the principal land who shall withstand constant attacks from the other two. One of the two will be in the north and the other will be in the south. The one in the center shall obtain his position by flattery rather than the established method of that area (in modem times that would generally be election) but his intent will be to fight against the covenant of the Lord. I could see this being fulfilled by a Palestinian becoming the leader of Israel and being attached by the Palestinians outside of Israel on the north and the south. He would be able to withstand them by his might despite the fact that his own aims are anything but righteous. Eventually he would fall though.
