You may wonder what language that title is written in. Before I say, I have to say that I am probably close to a year late in recording this.

The language is “2-year-old boy.” That (or variations such as “Tee Qu”) is how Enoch used to say “thank you” when he was beginning to talk. Noah is now that age and while he says “thank you” every bit as often as Enoch did at that age (if not more) his pronunciation is much more traditional.

I can’t count the number of times I would hear Enoch thank me for something and think “I need to record that before I forget it.” I have forgotten it multiple times and sometimes when remembering it I would be unable to remember my favorite variation (the one I used in the title). This morning he came in to tell me about how he wanted a new stuffed animal puppy (because he had seen some that Laura brought home as Valentines day gifts for the kids). It was very cute to hear him offering to give up Scout (his existing stuffed animal puppy) in order to get “that new brown puppy – not the one with the heart.” Perhaps even better than that it brought to my mind the sweet memories of his old way of saying thank you and I determined to record it before I could forget it again.
