Alma 7
It is instructive to recognize the things that Alma didn’t know although they were had in the records before his time. Nephi knew that Christy would come to Jerusalem during his mortal ministry and among the Nephites after his resurrection but Alma was not aware of that at this time (I don’t know if he learned it afterwards). This us a reminder that these men did not have the record as we have it. The difference between hindsight and knowledge as things unfold is one of the ways that men Ade kept on relatively equal terms spiritually at different points of history.
