Following the pattern that worked so well in Ammonihah, Amulek began speaking when Aka was finished to add a second witness to what had been said.
I never realized before that when Amulek corrects himself from “there shall be” to “it is expedient that there should be” he is acknowledging that the sacrificial shedding of blood is likely to continue even after the law has been fulfilled through the atonement that is to be made.
