Alma 45
I have had experiences where the spirit of prophecy was with me in the same way that out muddy have been with Alma when he saw the future of the Nephites so clearly. The difference is that I wasn’t familiar enough or in-tune enough to get the kind of clear details that Alma captured. I can say that the impressions I received were very strong and what I was able to recognize was confirmed by the Spirit to me.
I suspect that anything that people normally learn in death Alma had learned during the three days of unconsciousness at the time if his conversion so death was not strictly necessary for his progression.
