I finally have real employment options. Yesterday I had another interview with i5Solutions and they indicated that they intended to make me an offer. It was clear from our discussion that their preferred salary would require me to do some freelance work to make ends meet. This morning I got an offer from Questar. I was looking at the benefits and waiting to talk to Laura about it so that we could decode on a start date when the offer from i5Solutions arrived. They offered to pay $1000 per month more than anyone else at the company is making. that put their salary offer higher than Questar but with fewer benefits. I told both companies that I was deciding between two offers and I gave Questar the chance to match the salary from i5. By the end of the day after much discussion with Laura I have concluded that both could be good opportunities for me but Questar is probably the better option for the family right now even if they don’t choose to match the higher salary.
