3 Nephi 16
It is interesting to hear Christ speak of the future in a way that does not assume a particular outcome. He doesn’t say “my sheep at Jerusalem will not ask the father and learn of the and my other sheep therefore write these things…” Instead he says “write these things in case they do not learn concerning thee.”

Add Christ describes the day when the Gentiles shall reject the gospel I get the impression that one characteristic of that rejection will be an open persecution of the saints. I expect we will love to see that happen here in our nation. At that day the tenant of the house of Israel here upon the land shall again prosper at the expense of the Gentiles.
