It is interesting that Com protected the prophets and we are left to assume that Shiblom did as his father had done but we do not hear of Shiblom prevailing over his rebellious brother.
It seems that Ether, the second generation in the line of kings to be born directly into captivity (his grandfather had been king and was brought into captivity and his father lived his entire life in captivity), was the only person who heeded the prophets and recognized the truth of what they taught.
