Amos 6 – 7
There I’d always work enough to do in the kingdom of God. Those that choose to rest, saying “all is well” shall be afflicted for ignoring all that was not well. Note the difference between the retirement being described and simply taking a rest period while acknowledging the need for more work and planning to thrust in the sickle again after a respite.

The leaders of the kingdom of Israel told Amos to go prophesy in Judah. I’m sure they expected that he would speak against Judah rather than Israel if he did. As a true prophet annoys would speak whatever word the Lord gave him regardless of where he lived.
