Zechariah 6 – 8
I don’t know if this is an error in translation or an inconsistency such as is common in recalling dreams but when the horses are first described there were four sets: red horses, black horses, white horses, and grisled and bay horses. When the horses were explained the description is of black horses, white horses, grisled horses, and bay horses. In other words the grisled and bay horses were separated and the red horses seen to have vanished.
The expectation seems to be that after being scattered and gathered again the house of Israel will have a greater appreciation of their covenant.
