Matthew 4
John the Baptist said that God could raise up children for Abraham out of stones. Satan tempted Christ to create bread out of stones. Both of these things sound not only impossible but preposterous. On the other hand, I expect that both of them are possible for both God and Christ. In fact, it seems the stones to bread proposition must be true because it wouldn’t be much of a test to say no to doing something that was outside His power.

Naphthalim would be the plural of Naphtali.

I didn’t realize that Christ didn’t begin His ministry until after John the Baptist was in prison. John never had an opportunity to visit be a disciple of his Lord on earth.

Christ took His apostles from many professions but one third of them are fishermen.
