Acts 17
Everywhere Paul goes there is division. The pattern is consistent: Paul peaches, some of the people believe among both Jews and Greeks, the leaders among the unbelieving Jews get angry and seek to do harm to Paul and anyone preaching with him. Sometimes they bring false charges of sedition to their Roman rulers and other times they resort to sinning. One time they thought they had killed Paul.
The people of attend had an alter dedicated to “the Unknown God” just to make provision for any Good they had not yet encountered. Paul taught them about the true Father in Heaven and indicated that He was the Good they had not known.
