When the captain learned that there were at last 40 jess planning to ambush and kill Paul he sent Paul I’m the company of 470 soldiers to Cesarea to see Felix. He explained that Paul had been accused and that he knew of no accusation against Paul that would warrant imprisoning or killing a Roman citizen as he understood Paul to be.
