Romans 16
Those that cause divisions and offences should be noted in the church. Paul notes that such are self-serving rather than serving Christ. There have been plenty of examples of that throughout history. I note with interest that there is a difference between those who cause division seeking to benefit themselves by creating a following and those who seek unity and no personal gain even as division is the result of their work. It is the former that should be avoided. The latter would be people such as  Martin Luther.

Paul sent this from Corinthus (I assume that is Corinth) and the man who actually wrote it out, Tertius, added a few words at the end.
