I wonder if it was the translators for king James or if someone earlier in the process sought to embellish a mythical view of Melchizedek by wording the description of him to make him appear supernatural.
Unlike the high protests among the Levite’s, Christ didn’t have to make sacrifice for His own sins before He could be able to make sacrifice for everyone else.
