Revelation 13 – 14
There was a time when it wasn’t uncommon for people in the church to believe that the catholic church was the wrote of all the earth that Nephi spoke of and that the anti-Christ would be the leader of the catholic church (aka the Pope but not necessarily the current Pope). I think that’s a rare belief now and I don’t believe it but I also believe that the anti-Christ could come from virtually any position except among our prophets and apostles. In other words, I wonder if the day would ever come where the Catholics choose a Pope who was anti-Christ (undoubtedly in some modern, “sophisticated” way). This description sounds more like some international political body with a council makeup. We will recognize the beast to include someone who is wounded and miraculously healed. A second, smaller beast draws followers to the great beast.
