2 Nephi 28 – 30
The warnings here at the end of 2 Nephi correlate perfectly with the warnings by Moroni against those churches in the modern age which would claim that the work of God was finished and He was no longer active among mankind.
I don’t put any stock in this idea but its an interesting thought, that the lost tribes of Israel could be those who are gathered unto the restored church and that the words spoken to those lost tribes and recorded by them could be the revelations in the Doctrine and Covenants. Like I said, I don’t believe that is the fulfillment of that prophecy but it is a reminder that the Lord can fulfill things in unexpected ways that only become apparent to men in hindsight.
