There comes a time in every man’s life where he just feels…meh. He’s not happy about things, but he’s not depressed either. In fact, it’s probably a place where many men spend most of their lives. Take a look at the 5 switches of manliness — the things that ignite passion within us to live fully. Which of these is missing from your life? It’s not likely that all five are fully present, so take some time to jot down ideas on how you can better integrate these switches into your life so that you can have the motivation to seize each day as it comes.
Without even reviewing them I can say with some certainty that I have room to activate each of the five switches more in my life to one degree or another.
As I review physicality I think I’m doing better on that than I suspected but much of my movement is in doing things that I often feel duty-bound but unenthusiastic about.
In reviewing challenge I think I’m doing fairly well there. I have plenty of things to challenge me and keep pushing me to improve.
Sometimes I wonder if I am leaving any kind of legacy but as I review that switch it seems that I’m on track if I continue to pursue the directions I am pursuing.
I find that where the provider switch is concerned I am again doing a pretty good job.
Nature is a switch that I can really turn. I should make a point too get out in nature more regularly.
I guess I’m not doing as bad as I expected overall but I shouldn’t slacken my efforts to live manfully.
