I wonder if any of the Lamanites pondered the incongruity of their Nephite king sending men to peach against the Nephites in his new kingdom.
It’s funny that Amalickiah coffee his military captains based on their familiarity with the Nephite defenses considering that the whole time he was gaining his power over the Lamanites Moroni was completely revamping those defenses. Moroni did this by introducing new forms of defense as well as rebalancing the configuration of his strongholds. not only were the weak points stronger but the location of his weaker points were different than they had been when Amalickiah or the Zoramites left the Nephites.
