Helaman 5
Two of the the men who were both chief judge and high priest voluntarily relinquished the judgement seat in order to focus on their ecclesiastical responsibility. Alma gave it up to Nephihah who was righteous. Nephi gave it up to Cezoram who we know little about. Helaman served in both capacities until his death.
If we build the foundation of our lives on anything other than Christ, no matter how closely tied to Christ that thing is, we run the risk that we may be shaken loose from Christ when the storms rage furiously around us.
