I’ll bet that frustration at seeing the return of murdering the chief judge is a big part of the reason that people simply fractured society rather than try to remain cohesive.

It’s interesting to notice that in an unrighteous society the fraction of the people who were the most wicked had greater influence when the society was cohesive than when they were broken up. In the cohesive society they held positions of authority but in the fractured society they were despised.
