Some have speculated that the people of the church had gathered to the area around the temple at Bountiful. That might be true but even if it isn’t the Lord would have inspired those men who would be His disciples to gather to that region either before the sign off His death or very soon after it. Those twelve we poseur even before the people ran to the surrounding areas an the first evening of His visit and invited people to come for His visit the next day.
The doctrine of Christ is so simple. The commandment to all is that they must repent and believe in Christ and be baptized if they are too be saved. Any who will not believe in Christ and be baptized cannot be saved because that is the necessary prerequisite to salvation. We can go on about how we should demonstrate belief and repentance but baptism is required for all and must be offered to all at some point.
