I wonder how much Mormon knew of the unshakable things that the three Nephite disciples saw and heard when they we caught up to heaven and the change was wrought upon their bodies so that they could live for thousands of years.
Also I just realized that their longevity is more than double the lifespan of any other human (meaning any human who hadn’t received such a change in their mortal body). I would guess that mortal bodies are simply designed to expire in under 1000 years.
I wonder if the ministry of these virtually immortal disciples among the Jews was to help ensure that the Jews never forgot where they came from. Maybe that is part of how they have maintained a cohesive identity for so long.
