After looking at the role of children in families I decided to look at the parent topic (families) and see what I could glean there. Just the list of related entries was interesting. Besides the various areas that fall under the heading off family there we also links to the various topics under the heading off marriage as well as children, prayer, and the purpose of the earth.
The entry for Family in the Bible Dictionary notes that the Bible is all about family from the fact that Adam and Eve were a family to the fact that the story of Israel begins with Abraham and his family and that the history of the Bible traces the lineage of the family of Abraham.
In a gospel that is so family-centric, how do we find the proper balance between encouraging people to live in families and supporting purple who don’t live in family units for any number of reasons?
