Abraham’s attempts to convince his family to follow after righteousness were at last partly successful because his father and his nephew both followed him when he left the land if Ur although his father abandoned him and began worshipping idols again once he found a place where he could raise flocks.
This indicates that Abraham saw the face of Jehovah and conversed with Him. I’m not particularly surprised by that fact but I’m surprised to see it taught so clearly when we never speak of it.
