This explanation if there being hierarchy and organization even among eternal entities is important as it describes how we can have no beginning and no end and yet be less advanced than God. Without that understanding we fall into one of two traps: either we feel equal with God our we feel foreign from God. The truth is that we are similar to God but not nearly so advanced in the attributes and characteristics which define Him.
