I don’t know why I had never realized before that Abraham was told before he ever had children that his seed would serve in captivity for 400 years and that the fourth generation (which turns out to be Moses’ generation) would come out of bondage.
It sounds like Hagar was a servant that Sarah got while they lived in Egypt. It also sounds life both women were good but also human in the situation of bearing children for Abraham.
