Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego

We know that these three were friends of Daniel although we can only speculate on whether their friendship predated their time in the king’s household refusing the king’s meat. While Daniel was clearly a leader among them they all rose to prominence so that others in power felt threatened by them and plotted against them.
