Abinadi is a classic example of righteous manhood. How typical is the figure of a prophet who comes to a wicked people multiple times to deliver the invitation to repent and then loses his life for his efforts. I don’t mean to trivialize what he did because the work of Abinadi laid the foundation of the church that would survive until the coming of Christ and on to the destruction of the Nephites. The fact is that such examples are hardly common.
I always wonder where Abinadi went and what he did for the years between his first visit to the people of Noah and his second visit to the people of Noah.
