30 Day Happiness Challenge

Tevya Washburn invited people to join him in a 30 day happiness challenge. It is based on a presentation declaring that if we start doing some simple daily happiness behaviors we will become happy in any circumstances. Those things are too think of the new things each day you are grateful for, meditate, exercise, perform a kindness, and journal about a positive experience from the day. I prayed, exercised, and wrote to Jason Black. Now I need to write the things I’m grateful for and journal about a positive experience.

My positive experience was the joy I felt when I took the time to arrange for instruction for the teachers in the Elder’s Quorum rather than procrastinating it. I realized that actually accomplishing something that moves the work of the Lord forward even in a small way is a sweet spot for me.

I’m grateful that Laura is so determined to do the right thing in life that she will pursue a conversation even when she’s angry. I’m grateful that Lisi is flexible enough to take over for an evening without notice. I’m grateful for the direction I have available from this last general conference.
