Today was a good day in a lot of small ways. At basketball this morning I was really good on defense again (and banned up my knees diving for lose balls) and I made almost all my fast break layups – which I have missed too often in the past. The best part was the way I left. My team won the first game and then our four point lead got cut to one. On the next possession I took the ball down the court and found myself open at the top of the key. Dean Becker called out “he won’t shoot it,” so I took that open shoot and buried it and waved goodbye. It was probably a bit flippant but it was fun.
At work I got an urgent but totally foreign ticket to deal with in Randy’s absence as well as a call about some gasi glitches. I feel I handled them well.
Today I’m thankful for good friends to interact with, Laura feeling happy with her new medicine, and good neighbors.
