Nephi III

The soon of the first Nephite disciple to be called was most likely given charge of the records a soon a big father had finished making any corrections to his record after the visit of the Savior. There have been times when I wondered of they were the same man. The wording is “Nephi the son of Nephi – one of the disciples if Christ.” The question arises because the disciple of Christ was also the son of Nephi. The way that the deaths of the disciples were recorded separate from the death of Nephi lens weight to the conclusion that this Nephi was a brother to Timothy who was a disciple. I imagine that their father, Nephi, decided after his call as a disciples that keeping the records might interfere with is work as a disciple and have the records to his son Nephi whereas if Nephi had been the soon who was also a disciple he’d have given the records to Timothy.

This Nephi was probably fairly young when the savior came which would explain how he could keep the records for the next 60+ years. He probably knew wickedness in his youth followed by the hard work of rebuilding in his people followed by constant peace in the latter half of his life.
