Jared

While the brother of Jared plays most prominently in the spiritual history of their people Jared was clearly a humble man of God as well. Jared was humble enough to ask his brother to pray, knowing that his brother was righteous enough to have his prayer heard and to accurately receive the answer that the Lord would send. Jared was righteous enough and enough in tune with the spirit to request that their language not be confounded. He was even in tune enough to conceive of the idea that they might be lead to a choice land. The only mistake of his that we might perceive from the record is that he was willing to allow the people to choose a king when his brother had warned that such a thing would lead to bondage.
