The soon of Hyrum Smith was as faithful to the restored gospel as his father had been. His life was full of fascinating stories such as having his horse stolen out from under him by Indians when he was 8 or 9 years old.
I had known that he received a revelation about the work of the savior in the spirit world during His brief time before His resurrection but I hadn’t realized that it was received just before general conference and wasn’t voted to be treated as scripture by the first presidency and quorum of the twelve until after conference. Nor did I realize that he died only a few weeks later.
