After three days of travel was Lehi still in territory that he had some familiarity with?
Weren’t Laman and Lemuel old enough that they could have stayed behind when Lehi left? Either he wouldn’t leave without them or else they felt that leaving was necessary when they first left.
First Laban accuses Laman of being a river and send his servants to slay him then he decided he wants the property from the sins of Lehi without giving anything for it so he seems his servants to slay them. (“You’re a robber, I’ll kill you, ” followed by “I’m a robber, I’ll kill you.”)
With their wealth falling into the hands of Laban, there is little reason for Laman and Lemuel to return home to Jerusalem.
I’m sure Nephites recollect for the embed of the jess didn’t gross as he listened to Zoram who spoke thinking he was Laban.
