It doesn’t sound like Zoram went with the sons of Lehi when they returned to convince Ismael to bring his family and join in their journey. Even if that were the case I imagine that having Zoram to ensure husbands for each of Ishmael’s daughters helped Ishmael to choose to come. By the time Ishmael joined Kris family made up less than half of the group.
